A conversation at Borders today:
Me: Excuse me,do you work here?
Girl: Yea,whatchaneed?
Me: Urm,last week you had a rack of cd's near the entrance-Top 100 Albums as compiled by Rolling Stone-with a 3 for 2 offer.It's disappeared.
Girl: Oh,yea we moved that yesterday or somethin'. I think the offer's off-lemme checkitout!
(Girl vanishes,I accidentally wander off into the unfamiliar territory of relationship self-help books where two middle-aged women with faces buried in thick hardcovers stand idly,one has a little girl thugging on the back of her floral skirt)
Girl: I'm back! The offer's dunzo fo' sure,anythin' from that rack you lookin' for?
Me: Yea-an album.By The Cure,London Calling.
Girl: The Clash,you mean.
Me: Oh,yea.
Girl:Yup we def got that one...(searches for cd)...Here ya' go.
Me: Oh,it still has the pink 3 for 2 sticker on it.So,the offer's over?
Girl: Hurm.It's your call,dude.You could peel that thing off and pay,or argue with the biggies that it still has a sticker on it!
Me: Oh?
Girl: Now,all you gotsado is find two more albums! Anything else you searching for?
Me: It's 3 for 2-soooo I was thinking of also getting the Johnny Cash greatest hits album and Pink Floyd's The Wall.Do you have those?
Girl: Err,not too sure bout' Cash,but I think we're out of the Pink Floyd one.It was on the rack ey?-then it should have the same sticker on it.If not,yell out for me and we'll try to find one somewhere to paste on it yeah?
Me: We can do that?
Girl: I'm off in two weeks,and London Calling's an absolute gem.So...
Me: Aha.
Girl: Holler if you need me yea.
Me: Cheers.

opu,i find a 3rd cd but ter-found the new arctic monkeys cd (hv u heard 'brianstorm' yet?man that one's just CRAZEE),which wasn't on the 3 for 2 offer thing-so now dilemma la.maybe i'll jus get em all if i have spare money lying around before balik msia.
eh irina,btw dya knoe bloc party's coming to melb in august?ticketmaster hasn't specified the tick price yet tho
omg jom! august seems so far away..damnnnnn hope they dont cancel or price the tickets too dearly.
