MacDemons

Yes,that is a slightly disturbing picture but weigh that against the amout of sex displayed on a single episode of Nip/Tuck Season Four and this seems like nothing.Forget my previous praise towards the people at the Mac Service Centre,as i went there today to finally collect my broken Ipod which they simply refused to replace or repair (fucking big corporate companies with no soul!)i discovered that Australians, depite how they are often described, are at times the meanest bastards.Fucking Anal Cunts!

Sheesh.

Fresh from my memory, below is how the 'incident' progressed:

(Al enters store with a gleaming smile, remembering the kind teenage soul behind the counter he had met a week ago,who had promised to replace his broken Ipod, only to fnd noone there-finally a large man turned up,from now on he will be referred to as FA.Fucking Asshole)

FA: Yes,what do you want?
AL: I called this morning and was told to come and collect my Ipod (handing him a sheet detailing service job num & so on)
-disappears into office,Al hears him shout some vague order to another colleague-FA reappears to hand me my broken Ipod
FA:Well,we can't repair or replace it (starts walking back to office)
AL:BUT,what do i do with it now?
FA: (grumbles, turns around) Did you drop or purposely spoil your Ipod?
AL: (thinks ''well yeah, but i can't tell him that!'') Nah,itjust happened.
FA: Nah,see this (angrily points to an old bump on the Ipod) no doubt you dropped it.You'll have to bring this to Apple,go online and find help.If we help you with this,Apple will send us a bill of 600 dollars. We can't help you,now get out of our store.

If i had been a 70 year old woman with a heart problem i wouldv'e died right there and then from the shocking encounter with this rude fucktard, but being an insignificant nothing with powers or rights whatsoever i chose to walk out the store, fearing an argument would only lead to a pointless battle between all the staff of the cursed service centre and helpless me,in which i might not have come out alive.

So i did what every powerless minority would do,go back and send complain emails to both Apple Australia and the store manager, albeit knowing doing this was absolutely futile i was secretly anticipating a large hamperfull of chocs and goodies that would come with a 'sincere' apology. But worry not, vengeance will be mine soon you greedy, heartless, mean corporate devils.
Moving on.

Read a fantastic book yesterday.I rarely use the word 'fantastic' to describe books-in facti've only used it only once in my life to describe Sue Townsand's 'Adrian Mole & The Weapons of Destruction'...Paul Coehlo's 'Veronika Decides to Die' tells about Veronika,a seemingly happy and undisturbed 24 year old girl whose unexplained suicide attempt takes her to Villete,a mental institution where she meets 3 peculiar characters who forever change her life.To say this book was amazing or breathtakingly moving would sadly be an understatement-this book has made me think, for real, about life, friendships and what happiness means to me.Seriously,'Veronika Decides to Die' is an absolute must-read,unmissable and incomparable to any other book of the 'life stories' genre (if there is such a thing),no doubt one of the best books i have and will ever read, and not because the subject matter dealt with is something close to heart, but because it is genuinely a fantastic book.

On the other hand, i can't giev similar praise to the previous book i had read before that,John Grisham's 'The Rainmaker'.What a tiring drag that was.Speaking of John's-this is pathetic-bought tickets to John Mayer's upcoming concert in November,so i've been doing my homework by listening to all his new songs from the album Continuum (his old songs have been with me for a long, long time)-and they're much different from his older songs, more blues than pop or light jazz, not in his best element but its pretty good. From one of the songs on his new album,an excerpt~

Do you love me,or the thought of me?

Psst.Paris Hilton's new vid is no surprise-panties,horny teachers, hints of paedophilia, but it has almost 5 full seconds of Elisha Cuthbert.

Having a bbq bukapuasa feast with Syaza & Sha tonight,as part of my one-man 'Cook & Save Heaps' Campaign which has been going on smoothly for the past week, where i've experimented in doing two new dishes, both which turned out delicious.School starts next week, usually it would be a feeling of dread, slight regret from not fully utilising the holidays and an incomprehensible feeling of wanting more free time but i can safely say the holidays have been great, plenty of exciting stuff done and for once i'm leaving the cruise ship satisfied and joyful for the ride.

It's been an exhausting three weeks, eventful.I will remember this time as the definitive period of college life.
