Hit Em' Up Style

I went to the city this afternoon and spent a few hours finding the right stuff to buy for my sisters,and discovered some potentially interesting things about Shopping:

1. With guy stuff,every shop sells different things but with girls,every godamn shop has more or less the same outfit with he only difference being the label name.I went to heaps of shops,and they all seem to have the same kind of things on sale-I guess girls tend to follow trends more religiously,and once those shops find something that's a surefire hit among female shoppers-they stick to it,and soon enough other shops follow suit.

2. I personally have no idea which brands are considered superior/inferior by female shoppers,but after visiting few outlets I'm guessing that brands like Supre & Sportsgirl might be more popular and generate more sales just because they had tons more people in their shops,have bigger shops and sell more types of clothes and accessories.Thing is,referring to Fact 1 (previous),because all the shops sell the same items the only difference would be the price and quality (the former being more discernible),so the easiest thing to do would be to first decide what you want to buy,then find the shop that sells it cheaper.I found one item (the pinafore-evidently a super hot item this season,because they were selling it everywhere and all the angmohs were wearing it) selling at Sportsgirl for $30,but after searching further around the city I found a shop that was selling two for $40.

3. Target has a very,very,very disappointing collection of chocolates.They have about two measly rows for chocs,jellies and all that-but a humongous section for ugly shoes probably reserved for lawyers and anti-fashion dykes to buy.They look like shoes prison inmates might wear.Okay,I'm just saying it cos' I went all the way there and they didn't even have the chocs I want,they're actually not that bad.

4. Safeway prices are rising very,very quickly-while the quality of goods are getting worse.The green veges on sale have all become soggy and soft from the air-conditioning and being left to collect moist-it's DISGUSTING.Safeway is disgusting.I'm officially boycotting Safeway fruits and veges now.And everytime I see that Safeway ad with smiling people going on and on about how their fruits and veges are always fresh and healthy,I want to puke out blood.

On a lighter note,the second ep of Big Love (a US series about a polygamous man with three wives,Chloe Sevigny one of em') shows at 8.30 on SBS tonight,the same time Grey's Anatomy is on.But since the past few eps of GA has been absolute buttcrap,Big Love's definitely a better watch.
